LED Light Phototherapy has been around for years babies born jaundiced are bathed under yellow light and hand dryers in public facilities now have blue light coming through (well known for the anti-bacterial properties). So as far as the skin is concerned what’s it all about??
Based on the idea that living cells absorb the light, the treatment involves exposing the skin to low levels of beneficial light energy from the visible and infrared part of the light spectrum which energise cellular functions thus having a great effect on certain skin conditions. Research demonstrates that it increases collagen production, destroys acne causing bacteria, reduces inflammation, improves skin tone, and unlike more invasive procedures that work as a result of the body’s response to trauma, (ie mico needling, peels, IPL etc). LED Phototherapy is a safe to use all year round for all skin types with the added bonus – no discomfort or downtime!
While we often associate light exposure with negative effects such as skin ageing, light also has many positive effects on the body. It helps us produce vitamin D and provides energy and serotonin!!
(Clients say they enjoy it so much as it takes them to a happy sunny place)
Not all LED Phototherapy systems are the same, I have invested in Dermalux®Tri wave system which had won Aesthetic treatment 3 years in a row at the Aesthetic awards held in London, I have used other versions but this is my personal favourite, due to fantastic service, great research and proven data along with genuine before & after pics.
Dermalux® LED Phototherapy is clinically proven in treating a wide range of cosmetic and dermatological skin conditions. Can be used as a standalone treatment or as an add on to existing skin treatments to accelerate and achieve a more results driven treatment. To name a few :-
•Skin Rejuvenation, fine lines & dehydration

• Accelerated healing
For best results a course of treatments is recommended and 2-3 sessions per week with 10-15 sessions making up the ideal course. Interested in hearing more? Treatment available at HenleyRooms Advanced Skin & Beauty Clinic based in Stratford upon Avon.
